Privacy at YANO

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how You Are Now Online (“YANO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects information when you visit our website, request a website review, ask us to build or manage a website, or otherwise communicate with us.

Effective: October 5, 2026

YANO provides website design, hosting, maintenance, updates, website reviews and related services for businesses. We aim to collect only information reasonably needed to respond to requests, provide services, operate our website and protect our systems.

1. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with YANO.

Information you provide

  • Your name.
  • Business or organization name.
  • Email address.
  • Phone number, when you choose to provide one.
  • Your current website address or another website you ask us to review.
  • Information you include in notes, requests or communications with us.
  • Your interest in a YANO service or plan.

Technical information

When you use the website, our hosting, network and security infrastructure may automatically receive ordinary technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, date and time of access, requested pages and server log information.

2. How we use information

We may use information we collect to:

  • Respond to website review, website build and service requests.
  • Contact you about a request you submitted.
  • Prepare and deliver website review results.
  • Recommend an appropriate YANO service or plan.
  • Provide, operate, maintain and improve YANO services.
  • Diagnose technical issues and protect the website from abuse or unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain appropriate business records.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements.
We do not use a website review request as permission to access private areas of a website. A review is based on publicly available information and automated or third-party testing that can lawfully reach the submitted website.

3. Website reviews and third-party analysis

If you request a website review, the website address you submit may be processed using automated website-analysis tools and may be sent to third-party services used to measure performance, search, accessibility or technical signals.

YANO currently uses Google PageSpeed Insights as one source of independent website-performance and quality data. Google may receive the public website address being analyzed and technical information associated with that request under Google's own terms and privacy practices.

YANO may also attempt to retrieve publicly available content directly from the website submitted for review. Some websites may block or limit automated inspection.

4. Service providers

We use third-party service providers to operate YANO. These providers may process information on our behalf as needed to perform their services.

  • Supabase — database and application infrastructure used to store website requests and related records.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery, including request confirmations and internal notifications.
  • Google PageSpeed Insights — website performance and technical analysis used as part of certain website reviews.
  • Hosting and network providers — infrastructure used to host, secure and deliver the YANO website.

We do not sell personal information to third parties for money. We also do not currently use information submitted through our request forms for third-party behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and analytics

The public YANO website does not currently intentionally use advertising cookies or behavioral advertising trackers.

Basic technical information may still be processed by our hosting, network, security or infrastructure providers as part of delivering and protecting the website.

If we later add analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies, this Privacy Policy may be updated to describe those practices.

6. When we may disclose information

We may disclose information:

  • To service providers that help us operate YANO.
  • When reasonably necessary to fulfill a request or provide a service you requested.
  • To comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order or other lawful process.
  • To protect the rights, safety, security or property of YANO, our customers or others.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale or transfer of some or all of the business, subject to applicable law.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, provide services, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, protect our systems and satisfy legal or contractual requirements.

Information may remain for a limited period in backups, logs or archival systems after it is removed from active systems.

8. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

However, no internet transmission, hosting environment, database or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, Social Security numbers, medical information or other highly sensitive information through YANO's general website forms.

9. Your privacy choices

You may contact YANO to ask about personal information associated with your request, request correction of inaccurate information, or ask us to delete information when appropriate.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests, and we may retain information when reasonably necessary or legally required.

10. Children's privacy

YANO's services are intended for businesses and adults. The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13 through our business-service forms.

11. Links to other websites

The YANO website may link to customer websites, government websites, portfolio examples or other third-party websites. Those websites are operated independently and their own privacy policies and practices apply.
